I began working with Dr. McDonald in 1998. My own daughters were in treatment here and after having such a wonderful experience I know I wanted to be involved with this great group of people to help change lives by giving people a smile to be proud of.
It’s a big step to come to the orthodontist for the first time. I like helping put people at ease with treatment and payment options so they can get the care they are looking for.
I was born and raised in Salem and in my free time I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my husband Tim.
I work with a fabulous team, we are like family! I also love the ongoing patient relationships we make every day and have generations of families that continue to come here. I was treated as a child by Dr Terry and both my kids were treated by Dr Terry and Dr John. My favorite part is when the kids come in at age 5-7 and they grow up and literally transform before our eyes, when they get their braces off in Middle School or High School, to see that beautiful smile Dr. John created is priceless!!! To me, I have the best job!!!
I have been a Clinical Assistant here at McDonald Orthodontics since I graduated the Dental Assisting program in 2008. I enjoy working here because we are a close knit staff and love seeing the kids growing smiles.
When I’m not working I love spending time with my family. Together we enjoy camping, boating and fishing. I was born in Oregon but have grown up in Nebraska, Colorado, Indiana and Delaware.
I have been working for McDonald Orthodontics as a Clinical Assistant since 2011. I love being a part of the transformation of each patient throughout their treatment. Working with Dr John has been such a great experience because we provide the best patient care in town and deliver the best results. Being bilingual it gives me the opportunity to connect with our Spanish speaking patients and their families.
We all get busy caught up in what we do every day that we forget to take time to really reflect on why we do it!
It is not the “what” that motivates me to get out of bed in the mornings, it is the “why”. It is not the “what” that drives me to give great service and become an expert in my field, it is the “why”. It is about making a difference in people’s lives. This very thing I truly believe is what Dr John and our staff here at McDonald Orthodontics are all about. We all truly want to make a difference in our patients lives.
Of course a huge bonus is that I get to work for a brilliant Orthodontist and with the most amazing women whom I consider my family away from home!
I started my career as an orthodontic assistant in 2001 right here at McDonald Orthodontics. I enjoy working with all of my coworkers, they are like family. I like knowing that I work for a doctor who wants every patient to have the best results possible. The best part is seeing our patients’ confidence grow as their smile improves.
I enjoy working at McDonald Orthodontics because the team here is so great! Each one of us truly cares about our patients and about one another.
I had braces with Dr John and always felt very well taken care of. I am so happy with my new smile and grateful for the excellent care I received during treatment.
As the Scheduling Coordinator I get the pleasure of greeting the happy faces that come in. I love seeing their progress throughout their treatment. From start to finish you can see their transformation and knowing you have been a part, even if just welcoming them in the office and making sure they are comfortable, is a great feeling. I recently started treatment myself here at McDonald Orthodontics so I can relate to what they are going through. Our goal here is to make your experience here a pleasant one and one where you want to share with your friends and family.
